S.O.S
I always thought that boredom is something you unconsciously welcome but I forgot that, sometimes, you just cant help feeling that way. Its 47mins before knock off and there is an uncomfortable jitter in my heart. I got loads on my mine... loads.. if only I had someone who can sincerely help me sort things out, without being asked. But I guess it takes a reaaaaallll good friend to know whats ticking in my mind.
I think it will only take a physhic to do that. Hahah. Someone who has always been there since the old days, but hey. I doubt I know of such persons, and that is actually self-inflicted la. Not your fault, friends out there. I am the type who keeps things to myself. Whoever offers help upon hearing my predicament, will be remembered and cherished.
But sometimes, it just amazes me that I worry about small trivial issues. That, or just one BIG issue. Sometimes, I wonder whether I worry too much (which is very unhealthy). So in times like this, I tell myself (self-consoling), this silly issue will just be a figment of my past when I am forty. Money can find, as long as no criminal records. I need a lawyer. I wonder how much one costs.... Anyone knows a lawyer? A real one?
p.s. thnks shiks for loaning me ur phone, thnks Za for not consoling me when I told you whats bothering me :p

Ten Tips for Achieving Financial Security
Since our family unit began in 1982, finances is the one and only thing my family is worried about. 7 people in the family, and occasionally 8, when my uncles stay around, we were pretty much short of cash everytime. Hence, its really interesting to read up on financial planning, to so called lift my family to another financial level. I found some financial planning information for those who are interested in financial security. I thought I can post this tips so that you guys can benefit too. I ripped it off from Investopedia, under Retirement. 10 Tips for Achieving Financial Security:
- Start as Soon as You Can (saving, i mean)
- Treat Your Savings as an Expense ( so you dont use savings as ur disposable income)
- Save as Much as You Can in a Tax-Deferred Account
- Diversify Your *Portfolio
- Consider All Your Potential Expenses in Your Financial Plan
- Budget
- Periodically Reassess Your *Portfolio
- Reassess Your Expenses and Make Changes Where Possible
- Consider Your Spouse
- Work with an Experienced Financial Planner
* For those who is unsure what portfolio means, its like a 'file' in where you detail all your investments; be it in stocks, bonds or mutual funds. People usually invest in more than one investments so as not to put all the eggs in one basket. You may choose to invest on your own or hire a portfolio manager.
All they are saying is to plan for the future. You should start and stick to your savings plan. Insurance is super important, at least for my family. I think when your pay check comes, try set aside these type of expediture aside: Savings, Expenses (hp bills/ rents/ transport/ food), Insurance, Miscellanous (birthday presents, gym membership) and most importantly disposable income. This is the portion where you can spend as you wish! Disposable income is my favourite chunk. Why? Cause this volume of this figure determines whether I can afford to travel :)
Happy planning
love,
mYra

It painful when...
i sit crying quietly in the park..
my dad took away my first 2 kittens, King and Kiki, away from me
my heart got stolen for the 1st time and never returned
the throbbing in my head never cease despite 4 tablets of painkillers
my advices are left ignored
i am alone, finding a way out of feeling despondent
i failed to perform well in exams.. i can remember 3 papers I screwed up back in Uni
my cries for help in form of calls and sms fell on death ears
someone i sms-ed fail to respond
some of my friends break their promises
the dentist took out 3 molars, leaving one wound bleeding profusely overnight
my gums get tender after braces and i cant chew Chilli Serbuk Ikan Bilis
i try to confide in someone who is the least sympathetic to my problems, dismiss my problems as trivial in his/ her quiet ways, and didnt sincerely try to help
i get knocked out after an interview for my dream job
i see my mum waking up so early in the morning to work, while the rest of the family sleeps soundly
i learn not to trust a man
i hear some friends talk bad bout me
i feel i am being patronised
i cant afford to provide a better living for mum & dad
my back ached like crazy on my travelling adventures
my job sucks but i am stuck with it
my siblings ate the last portion of dinner, leaving nothing for me
i fell sick but i hate to trouble anyone
i see people i love crying
God took someone's life before i can say goodbye
i get reprimanded for the mistakes i did in the most cruel way
its a Monday and i just had a terrible weekend
i had to turn down my friends' invitations cause i was too drained to have fun
i did a mistake when i knew it was going to happen
the guys teased me cause i am tall
my friends are too busy in their own lives to ask how i am
i cant be a good daughter, sister, friend and employee i wish i could be
i cant tell the difference between the people who really cares and those who dont
i cant get into the mind of others to see whats bothering them
i get overcharged
my hard disk crashed along with all the memorable photos and important resume compilations
my dreams of an exciting holiday gets sour
i feel all this pain inside, but i dont know how to make it go away

Despondency which lingers
These days, I get hyper irritated by almost everything. A sign of depression? Perhaps, maybe a mild one. Frustration needs a vent, but I certainly am too trap with the banalities of daily life to let it out. I've taken a back seat, and still thats not enough. The feeling of inadequacy and helplessness painted almost all the corners of my mind. Perhaps I should speak to a Dr.
My mum told me I should let go of my weekend job so I can make way for social life. I ridiculed her suggestion by saying, thats another way of saving, "I want to see you married soon". I do not see any point in saving my weekends for social life when I do not have a social network in mind. I see weekends as a time I redeem myself for not having a job that is permanent and enjoyable. I have financial commitments I must fulfil and whoever have time to build a social network just to fill up a social life when you have abundant of things to pay for.
Yea, maybe I will be a perfect specimen for SDU to study.
The root of the problem, could be my present stint @ DHL. I doubt its working out as I had imagined. Another is the job opportunities which are available to me. I sense no guide for those helplessly seeking a career path. So much for OCS. I think the officers are superficial and certainly unhelpful in matters outside of resume editting. I have no confidence in applying for positions online and I certainly ran out of agencies which I trust to do a great job. Somehow I feel the only way in, into a good organization, is to know friends who cared enough about you. And for now, I have Lina, Kak Ipah, Tracy and Rafidah in mind. Things @ home, arent going smooth either.
Oh well...maybe it'll be better tomorrow..
